I found National Bank in Canada has the best rate for exchange -- the buy and sell have the smallest gap. I have some US$ in US, and wonder if I can transfer the fund by a personal check to Canada and deposit it into a US fund account.

We've been quoted $1300+ per person double occupancy for ten nights in and around Anchorage to Fairbanks and Kenai peninsula. So...than's about 260 a night for eachg motel room. Can this be correct. August 2004, middle of the month.
