Cambridge, MA lodging03 Jun 2004 12:56 GMT1
Can anyone recommend reasonably-priced lodging near Harvard University?  We
will have a car, so free or cheap parking would be a huge plus.
Thank you.

We would like to visit Albuquerque, Grand Canyon and Grand Junction Colorado
during a two week vacation.  When is the best time of year to visit the
Grand Canyon - Don't think it would be July.  We are thinking about
September or November.  Where is the best low cost place(s) to ...
Question about Canadian Customs/Flights03 Jun 2004 05:37 GMT22
Hello, I'm from the UK. I'm going to be travelling to the US soonish and
was hoping to avoid being harassed by US Customs (they seem to have a
pretty poor reputation amongst travellers) by flying thru Canada. I have
to make a domestic flight within the US, but I thought of flying ...
An evening in Windsor / My first rude Canadian border guard03 Jun 2004 03:38 GMT29
I was in Detroit on business, so I thought I'd go over to Windsor and
take advantage of the exchange rates, and walk along the waterfront.
(Best view of Detroit is supposed to be from Canada.)
Oh, yes, and protest the stupid US boycott of Cuban products that has
Best East Coast Resorts - NY - DC03 Jun 2004 02:25 GMT13
I am planning on travelling with my family to the US for a summer vacation.

balcony fairly reasonable. Not that familiar with Maine so location not a
big issue. Mostly we like to sit on the balcony and relax, so ...

My wife and I are going to Virginia Beach in the middle of June for
four nights (she has a work conference which will only take up 3 half
days; grandma and grandpa are watching the kids). I've never been to
Virginia, and was looking for advice on places to see and eat.

Long Island sailing02 Jun 2004 22:19 GMT2
A friend has asked me to check out options for boating on Long Island
while he's there for other reasons. He's interested in places for good
sailing, places to rent sail boats (small- nothing fancy), picuresque
boating harbors, any boating centers with interesting things about

How accurate are Yahoo Driving Directions?02 Jun 2004 18:18 GMT3
Specifically the driving times? Are they realistic? I know that US
driving speeds are sedate, by European standards, but I'm getting some
very low average speeds on routes in California - eg from Carmel to
Yosemite. Maybe due to twisty mountain roads?
