The Cabot trail01 Nov 2004 00:26 GMT8
Can any of you readers give me some idea of how many days I should allow to
drive the Cabot Trail. I'm not trying to set a land speed record - just do
some sightseeing. Can you also give me an idea of the best months of the
year to do the trip.

In Brooklyn, New York for New Years..anywhere descent and cheap??31 Oct 2004 15:30 GMT3
I am flying to New York on Dec. 27th and would like to stay in Brooklyn.
I am there till Jan 13th. I have searched the internet high and dry, and
everything is either crap, or extremely expensive. I am a budget travel

Portland Oregon to Bend - Thanksgiving31 Oct 2004 08:07 GMT6
We're having trouble getting a flight and are considering renting a car to
drive to and from PDX to Bend.  We're from Canada and shouldn't be afraid of
the snowy roads, but the mandatory chains that seem to be required makes me
think that it might be a tough trip.

Thoughts on Southern Route to Denver30 Oct 2004 20:39 GMT8
My wife and I will be heading to Denver from San Diego by car this
Christmas.  A couple years back we made the trek and went the shortest
route: the 15 up to the 70, across to Denver.  We hit some bad weather
in Utah, but the trip through the Rockies was smooth.
Sanford Airport to Melbourne, FL30 Oct 2004 18:44 GMT6
Is there a transportation service that would take me right from the
Sanford-Orlando SFB Airport to Melbourne, FL?
The Greyhound option is very long.

Legacy airlines should have smashed their unions long ago30 Oct 2004 18:30 GMT70
This expectation by militant unions of prosperity no matter what has
doomed the major carriers.
They destroyed steel and cars.  Now they are destroying an industry --
domestic flights, at least -- that didn't even have foreign
Hotel reservation in the USA30 Oct 2004 06:20 GMT7
I came accross a hotel reservations web site which seems good for
making hotel reservations in the USA, it also gives access to many
lowest price guaranteed hotel reservations and seems very easy to use,
http://www.deskbell.com I was wondering if somebody has used this

Adopt a highway?29 Oct 2004 03:20 GMT24
What is the "Adopt a highway" program? I saw many signs during my last trip
to the U.S.
What should the "adopters" (?) do?
I had never seen that in Europe.
Palm Springs, CA info28 Oct 2004 19:53 GMT3
I am heading to a conference in Palm Springs, CA this winter that will
be held at the Hilton Resort, only 2 miles from the airport.. I will
have  a few part afternoons or evenings off but no extended breaks. Is
there anything you would deem essential to see that I would need a car
change return flight date28 Oct 2004 09:59 GMT8
Since two-way tickets seem cheaper than one-way tickets with my
destinations thru Delta, can I save the return flight for months later
until I know the date?
There's another airline around here that offers good one-way ticket
