St Pierre & Miquelon, where France meets North America.
Off the east coast of Canada, just south of the Canadian province of
Newfoundland, the islands of St Pierre & Miquelon remain as French as any
town from Normandy or Brittany with the added mystery of the ancient Basque

My wife and I are travelling on vacation to Miami in early August. I know

From Grand Canyon to LV (which parks ??)06 Jun 2005 13:56 GMT1
I'm planning to spend a couple of days in Grand Canyon. My travel
itinerary should continue to Las Vegas and then to Yosemmite/SF.
Question; taking in account a couple of days, which is the best
itinerary/parks to see/stop while driving from Grand Canyon to LV ?
Newark Airport to UWS06 Jun 2005 06:17 GMT4
Thanks again, everyone for your thoughts and suggestions on the upcoming
trip.
I was going to take a shuttle from the airport to the apartment we are
staying in (I will be by myself when I arrive tomorrow night). However,
Seattle Hotels06 Jun 2005 01:44 GMT2
My wife and I will be in Seattle for six nights at the beginning

centrally-located moderately-priced hotel. Luxury isn't required,
but cleanliness and reasonable comfort is. Ideally, I'd like to

Another customs question05 Jun 2005 19:34 GMT3

US Customs at Canadian Airports?05 Jun 2005 16:10 GMT7
I will be taking a flight from Vancouver to Houston and connecting in
Calgary.  The connect time is around 50 minutes.  I asked the flight
reservation agent if this connect time was sufficient and she said YES
because the bags are checked all the way from Vancouver to Houston, so
ROUTE 6605 Jun 2005 14:55 GMT5
Route 66. The most famous highway in the Land. Some would argue in
the world. Yet sadly, since 1985, the designation has been
officially "decommissioned". The physical roadway is not
decommissioned, just the designation. By some accounts well over
Passport "problem"05 Jun 2005 07:40 GMT2
Suely I am not the only one who noticed the dual troll act of the poster
and first respondent to the Passort query?  I cannot imagine taking
anything posted here as gospel;  yet these little acts usually snare a
hundred or so responses.  Scares me sometimes.

Restaurant portions04 Jun 2005 11:31 GMT90

week of eating my way through those gigantic portions, I got sick.  Colitis.
It always happens when I eat too much.
Getting to Banff, Alberta from NYC?04 Jun 2005 07:30 GMT9
What is the quickest way to reach Banff, Alberta from NYC?  Now matter
what I look at, it seems to be an all day affair.  Flights are around 8
hours to Calgary.  I looked at flying into Great Fall, MT and then
driving.  About a 6.5 hour flight + at least 6 hours of driving.
