About the super-steep hills in SF - when they first built the roads,
didn't they consider not building streets there?  Since it was so hard
then to travel.  Or is it impossible to just skip areas in a big city?
Don't people hate living or working on those steep hills?

I'm looking to schedule a day-long,
NON-whitewater (family & friends with kids along) kayaking trip
in the central/SW Pennsylvania or nearby West Virginia/MD area.
Basically a "canoe trip", using kayaks.  Downstream.

Thinking of a week visit to Vancouver in March.  What kind of  weather for
