There are eleven of us coming across to California next year (August 6 adults 5 teenagers). Can anyone advise us on an itenary/ tips for the visit, we have 2 weeks and would like to take in San Francisco, Yosemite, Knots Berry (and parks) and Hollywood.

Hi all, we will be in Seattle for 4 days with our 5 year old boy. any tips on fun things to do? my husband had suggested going to Mount Rainier for a few days, renting a cabin and have fun exploring. i am concerned the hikes will be too long for my son to hold his attention.

When people talk about the next big quake, why do they always talk about SF and not LA? SF is right on a fault, I know, but then they had a big quake in 1994 in LA. Couldn't there theoretically be a huge one in LA?
