I am French... hence my question : I always thought that the word "wilderness" was pronunced like "wild", but I heard americans from the NW pronuncing the word like "weelderness" : who is right ?

We spent a few days in Montreal earlier this summer and I will file to obtain a refund on my hotel GST taxes paid. My hotel bill lists several taxes and I'm not sure which are refundable and I should list on th etax form.
