Does anyone have any comments about vacationing there. It looks OK but
it's hard to tell just from their visitors guide. We are couple in our
50's and like smaller village type places where we can walk to most
places. We like typical tourist things such as sightseeing, shopping,
Visiting Harlem (NYC)09 Oct 2005 10:28 GMT29
I have been to New York City many times but no doubt because of supreme
ignorance mixed with usually sublimated fear, and being distinctly not
a person of color, I've never really been to Harlem. Yes,I will admit
it: the thought of going north and east of Central Park intimidates me

outer banks Corolla06 Oct 2005 05:47 GMT1
We are looking to go to the outer banks for our honeymoon the first
week in May 2006.  We have a limited budget, but I have found a place
listed on the sound called Corolla-light.  Anyone familiar with the inn
or the area? Any suggestions for a romantic place to stay on the ocean
October in Arizona05 Oct 2005 20:03 GMT5
Now that October is upon us, I think fondly of last year. We spent a
week in Arizona, near Tucson. It's probably the best month of the year
to spend there - the temperature was not too hot, not too cold. We
didn't run into huge crowds anywhere.
American Airlines - Last one standing05 Oct 2005 19:43 GMT613
Well, after today's Chapter 11 filing by Delta and Northwest, it
appears that American Airlines is now the only pre-deregulation U.S.
major carrier left that hasn't seen a trip to Bankruptcy Court.
The major U.S. domestic carriers in 1978:
Any family vacation location recommendation for November05 Oct 2005 18:50 GMT12
Hi there. My daughter is 4 years old. My wife, my daughter and I would
like to spend a 5 to 7 days vacation in US / Canada. We live in
Vancouver, BC, Canada. We went to Disneyland in California two years
and enjoyed it very much. We also went to San Diego a year ago and like
Any lockers in downtown San Francisco04 Oct 2005 12:53 GMT9
Are there any places to store a suitcase for six hours in downtown San
Francisco. I thought of the East Bay Terminal, but wondered it has been
replaced? What about the Ferry building or are there some hotels that do
this? What about the Museum of Modern Art? We will be there on a ...
Road Nutrition04 Oct 2005 12:52 GMT25
Do you eat worse when on the road? We cook, but I feel like we overlook a
balanced diet in favor of what's convenient. I wouldn't mind some nutrition
tips from people out there battling the same problem.

Birth Control Pills04 Oct 2005 02:54 GMT11
Does anyone know the rules on bringing birth control pills into the
United States when holidaying from another country (in this instance
Australia)?
Do they just have to be kept in their original packaging or are there
New Orlean Memories04 Oct 2005 01:45 GMT20
Does anyone have any special memories of the city they would like to
share? I traveled to that city a couple of years ago and enjoyed the
city very much. A book at an antique shop caught my attention "Dinner At
Antoines". Has anyone ever eaten at this famous New Orlean restaurant?
Santa Barbara & LA04 Oct 2005 01:37 GMT10
I will be in Santa Barbara in mid-Sept for a training course. I have managed
to scam in two weeks of holiday after the course. I know there is a shuttle
between LA & Santa Barbara. So far my plan is to spend some time in Santa
Barbara, then work my way back into LA possibly down ...
Returning to Canada from Europe with an expired passport03 Oct 2005 23:27 GMT17
I'm flying from Frankfurt to Calgary but my Canadian passport is expired.
(I do have other ID, including a Canadian birth certificate and a valid
Hungarian passport listing my place of birth as Canada.)  Am I going to
experience any problems getting into Canada?  I don't want to ...
Places with the least natural disasters - follow up03 Oct 2005 21:17 GMT12
National Geographic just ran (in the special issue on Katrina) had a
map showing exactly what we were talking about, but I can't find it at
ngm.com.  It showed Tornado Alley as almost all just in Oklahoma.
