could you help a novice to choose between a straight flight and a
two-part flight?
We have booked a straight flight from Lithuania to SLC for around $1000
(CSA and Continental).

I went to Maui a few years ago and stayed in the Maui Islander in
Lahaina.  It wasn't so good.  For one thing, the parking lot had NO
LIGHTING in the night.  The room was not totally clean either.
Fortunately, Lahaina is a great eating/shopping place.

I need advice. We are going to travel to US in december. First stop
will be in Phoenix to visit an old friend from Sweden (where we're
travelling from), then by car to San Diego. This part is planned.
