Shopping Trip to NY at end of August19 Aug 2006 00:31 GMT13
There are 4 of us from the UK planning a shopping fest in New York at
the end of August (and over the Labor Day weekend) courtesy of some
stupidly cheap flights on BA (£149 return!). Somehow I've been landed
with organising it and I've got a few questions which I'm hoping
Myrtle Beach Unprofessional Agent19 Aug 2006 00:30 GMT1
I just had a rotten experience with a Century 21 Broadhurst &
Associates and with Rachel Broadhurst.  When I told Rachel that I was
unhappy, she told me, "I'm sure that you have customers that are
unhappy with your sorry a.s product", when she knows nothing of
Hotel for friends in downtown Vancouver19 Aug 2006 00:25 GMT5
I live here but never stay at hotels, so I really have no idea on what
to suggest to my friends. They will be staying somewhere between Sept
to Oct. and on a weekend. about 3 nights.
I'd like something nicer than Best Western but not as expensive as

Beware of renting from this California rental company18 Aug 2006 06:02 GMT2
I recently had a bad experience renting from this company. Perhaps my
experience was unique. Perhaps not. I used a credit card to pay for the
rental and was abe to protect myself.
You should be very careful when dealing with them. They rent at the
A week in Texas17 Aug 2006 19:21 GMT13
My friend is coming to the US for the first time, and apart from the
NYC-Chicago-Niagra Falls stuff, wanted a different kind of trip. I was
also looking for places I haven't been to yet, so we decided on a week
in Texas.
Driving cross country with expired tags - how to avoid police?17 Aug 2006 09:46 GMT381
I'm going to be driving from Washington, DC to northern Louisiana with
an LA license plate that expired a couple of years ago.  Insurance and
driver's license are okay.   Any suggestions about what route I should
take or how I can avoid getting pulled over?  I'm a pretty safe driver ...

Have gone to Florida a few times now so I'm looking for different things a family can do outside of the parks.
Last year we did the springs such as Waikivia and enjoyed them a great deal.

Pop-ups and insects16 Aug 2006 22:13 GMT7
We just bought a pop-up camper, and have used it twice.  The 2nd time, we
didn't have any problems, but the 1st time we had a lot of bugs at night (2
different campgrounds - not going back to the buggy one).  The inside light
was on for only a few minutes, and then we spent 10 ...
Country Inn & Suites - no movies?16 Aug 2006 21:38 GMT4
Was it just this location or does Country Inn & Suites not offer any
on-demand movies on their televisions?
That was a big disappointment, since I like to catch a good movie to pass
away some of the time, especially at a relatively "boring" hotel like the
Problem, Hotels and their "hold" amounts....16 Aug 2006 19:29 GMT16
What is a typical "hold" amount that hotels will put on your credit card
when checking in?
I noticed that it has slowly increased to what looks like a pretty big
amount! (equal to the room rate itself!)
