Car rentals... Can they track you?13 Sep 2006 16:20 GMT17
I was looking at a mileage restriction for a rental company that I was
going to book with.  They had the following written on their site:

Curtain question about Canadian hotels12 Sep 2006 19:44 GMT8
Just got back from my first Elderhostel trip, to Nova Scotia and PEI.
In all three hotels we stayed at, there were no sheers at the windows,
only the opaque curtains and sometimes the blackout-type curtains on a
separate rod.  Is this a national custom or something?  I don't ...
AntiSemitism and disrimination @ Hilton Niagara Falls12 Sep 2006 19:35 GMT23
I'm a Jew currently residing in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Between
Septmeber 20th, 2005 and July 18, 2006 I was employed at the Hilton
Hotel as a houseman, under Italian ownership. Although I didn't hear
any direct anti-Semitic slants I was shunned by most of my co-workers,

Me and my girlfriend are planning a 4day/3 night trip to NYC.  We are
trying to come up with the cheapest way to enter the city.  We are

anyone know where some cheaper parking spots are, or have any good tips
Flying with prescription medicine.12 Sep 2006 19:26 GMT22
Normally (well, as normal as before the most recent abnormality) when I
fly I carry my prescription meds in one of those hard plastic cases,
separated by days of the week so I can remember to take them.  Now I
understand your prescription meds have to match the name of the

Me and my GF are currently on a trip in the US and we have our
Orlando/Florida part of the vacation planned for the upcoming days

so-so. My question is, do you think we would be able to enjoy our visit

pathetic nature of some, but oh well.  They'll grow up some day... or
Touring Arizona12 Sep 2006 07:37 GMT2
My husband and I are planning to travel from Oregon to Arizona in
November to spend Thanksgiving with family but also to sightsee. We're
debating driving vs. flying, and, if the latter, flying into Tucson
(where family is) vs. Phoenix (more flights) vs. Las Vegas (is it
9/11/0112 Sep 2006 00:34 GMT3
I was on my way to my kids' high school to drop off a book.  The car radio
told me of the first crash and while I was driving, the second tower was
hit.  In shock, I told the school secretary what I had heard, and told her
that she might want to mention it to the history ...
