I am planning to drive from Havre, MT to Bozeman (and then on to
Yellowstone) sometime this February.  Mapquest estimates the distance
as approximately 300 miles, which would be a decent day's drive if it
were summer.  The route appears to involves a 2-lane US 87between Havre

Can any experienced St. Louis folks give me explicit directions for

Plan to drive next spring BEFORE THE LAKE FERRIES START RUNNING from
Green Bay, WI to Niagara Falls.  I'm wondering which is quicker, going
north through UP and down to Port Huron where we will cross into
Ontario, or down through Chicago and across lower Michigan to Port

Next July (2007) we are planning to visit Niagra falls (from the UK!)
and then take three nights to drive to Newark airport (where we take
the train into NYC)
rather than just take the quick route we'd rather take our time and see
