I'm going to be spending 5 or 6 days in Asheville, NC in a few weeks.
There seem to be quite a few hotels in and around Asheville, and
wondered if anyone has any hotel suggestions.
I'm looking for a modern hotel with these minimum requirements:

We spent this past weekend there and the power went out on Saturday
afternoon as we were preparing to go to a wedding. No power for 2
hours, no flashlights, no compensation, nothing. Not even working
phones to contact their headquarters about the service. Hot water went

Anyone familiar with the section from Sault Ste Marie to Sudbury?
Mostly one lane or two lanes?
Any redeeming features along the way?
Any other advice gratefully accepted.

I am looking at a Delta flight that involves an 21 hour connection at JFK.
The conditions on the flight are "no stop overs" but surely I'll be
"allowed" to leave the airport and stay at a hotel for that time? I can't
believe that I'll be required to stay in the airport overnight!

Seems that Helena, Arkansas has implemented a 24 hour curfew affecting
_everyone_.  Anybody on the streets may be stoppped and questioned and
searched at any time for no reason at all.

Family of 5 has just under 48 hours in Vegas - Fri+Sat night incl.
Would appreciate a list of must sees family suitable (kids 15, 12, 10).

We'll be staying in South Orleans for a week.  We'll have a rambunctions dog
with us, and would like to know if there are any places with outdoor
seating, decent food, and where a dog can sit with us on a short leash..

We will be arriving from the north.
We have a half day (the day we get in) when we were looking at doing an
overview tour of LA (suggestions if there is one? Or just do a Hollywood
